On Monday, September 8th our friend and trusted partner Bertram Brown passed away. Mr. Brown was the Producer and Creator of the Freedom Sounds label and his musical legacy will always be remembered. Bertram was a true champion of the people of Greenwich Town where he grew up and lived for his entire life. He was an apex of generousity – always willing to help those around him. We here at Deadly Dragon owe him everything for both his diligent work and the absolutely open-hearted way with which he allowed us into his life, his home and into the spirit of the music which nourishes us. Words alone fail when trying to explain what this man meant to us. We will miss him terribly. The world has truly lost an essential piece of light. We send our condolences to his family and friends.
